platteville arts, trails, and history project (path)

Platteville Arts, Trails, and History Project (PATH) is a volunteer-led community arts and culture project initially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town program. As of 2022, PATH is officially a subcommittee of Ripple Artspace!

Community First

The goal of PATH is to bring the community together to decide what makes Platteville special — specifically, to decide how we can use arts and culture to promote the town’s special qualities and make our community a better place.

The original grant-funded project led to the creation of a Community Plan, and the initiation of the Chalk & Cheese Festival.

The Festival served as the culminating event following the two-year NEA “Our Town” Project, and continues to engage the community through local music, cheese and art. Chalk & Cheese Festival is now the primary focus of PATH, and the event continues to grow each year.
